Ingredients:
- 1 cup mixed dry fruits (almonds, cashews, pistachios, and walnuts), coarsely chopped
- 1 cup jaggery
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dry Fruits:
- Dry roast the chopped dry fruits in a pan on low heat until they turn golden and aromatic. Set aside.
- Melt the Jaggery:
- In the same pan, add ghee and jaggery. Heat on medium flame until the jaggery melts completely and becomes a smooth syrup. To test the right consistency, drop a little syrup in water; if it forms a hard ball, it is ready.
- Mix and Spread:
- Quickly add the roasted dry fruits and cardamom powder to the jaggery syrup. Mix well so that all the dry fruits are coated with the syrup.
- Pour the mixture onto a greased plate or a parchment-lined surface. Spread it out evenly using a greased spatula.
- Cut into Pieces:
- Let it cool slightly but not completely harden. Cut into desired shapes while it’s still warm. Once completely cool, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
