Dry Fruit Chikki Recipe
Share This :

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mixed dry fruits (almonds, cashews, pistachios, and walnuts), coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup jaggery
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dry Fruits:
    • Dry roast the chopped dry fruits in a pan on low heat until they turn golden and aromatic. Set aside.
  2. Melt the Jaggery:
    • In the same pan, add ghee and jaggery. Heat on medium flame until the jaggery melts completely and becomes a smooth syrup. To test the right consistency, drop a little syrup in water; if it forms a hard ball, it is ready.
  3. Mix and Spread:
    • Quickly add the roasted dry fruits and cardamom powder to the jaggery syrup. Mix well so that all the dry fruits are coated with the syrup.
    • Pour the mixture onto a greased plate or a parchment-lined surface. Spread it out evenly using a greased spatula.
  4. Cut into Pieces:
    • Let it cool slightly but not completely harden. Cut into desired shapes while it’s still warm. Once completely cool, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
