Ingredients:

  • 1 liter milk
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • A few strands of saffron
  • 1 tablespoon chopped pistachios (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Soak and Peel Almonds:

    • Soak the almonds in hot water for 30 minutes. Peel the skin off and grind them into a smooth paste with a little milk.
  2. Boil the Milk:

    • In a saucepan, bring the milk to a boil. Lower the heat and let it simmer.
  3. Add Almond Paste:

    • Add the almond paste to the simmering milk. Stir continuously to prevent lumps and ensure the paste is fully mixed into the milk.
  4. Flavor the Milk:

    • Add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands. Continue to simmer for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve:

    • Pour the badam milk into glasses, garnish with chopped pistachios, and serve hot or chilled.
