Ingredients:
- 1 liter milk
- 1/4 cup almonds
- 2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- A few strands of saffron
- 1 tablespoon chopped pistachios (for garnish)
Instructions:
Soak and Peel Almonds:
- Soak the almonds in hot water for 30 minutes. Peel the skin off and grind them into a smooth paste with a little milk.
Boil the Milk:
- In a saucepan, bring the milk to a boil. Lower the heat and let it simmer.
Add Almond Paste:
- Add the almond paste to the simmering milk. Stir continuously to prevent lumps and ensure the paste is fully mixed into the milk.
Flavor the Milk:
- Add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands. Continue to simmer for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve:
- Pour the badam milk into glasses, garnish with chopped pistachios, and serve hot or chilled.
